Bosun - Summer Season
We are looking for a confident, motivated individual to join our delivery team.
Every job, event, journey, weather forecast, table layout, dance floor size, and client will be different. All of which are elements in making, quite often, the most special day in someone’s life memorable. Yes, that means there is quite a bit of pressure, but that is what we thrive on.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Co-leading the team on a daily basis – including rotas, hours and organisation.
- Understanding of upcoming bookings – packing lists, suppliers and extra ad hocs
- Ensuring company procedure is in place – no corners cut, all working with an open book
- Correctly loading and unloading vehicles – always thinking one step ahead
- Client & supplier liaison on site – to be thrived on. They’re happy, we’re happy.
- Ability to drive - vans and vehicles with trailers – safely!
- Ability to be on call.
For the right candidate this role could be a full time permanent position extending beyond the summer months.
Work hours will include minimum 35 hours per week based on working 5 days out of 7.
During the season, our normal working week is Sunday to Thursday.
Rigger - Summer Season
Looking for a summer job that isn’t just your average 9 to 5. We’re looking for motivated and hard working individuals that can step up to the plate. Working as a part of the team to help to business achieve the highest standards for us as Original Marquees but also more importantly for the clients we work with.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Co-operate with the team on a daily basis – turn up on time and achieve what is expected.
- Assisting team leaders to ensure loading is correctly complete – loading efficiently
- Ensuring company procedure is followed – no corners cut, all working with an open book
- A positive attitude towards your work – achieving the goals to the best of your ability
- Be flexible – this isn’t a “normal” nine to five.
- Have an eye for detail - we all can work together to achieve perfection.
- Be reliable - we can only ask for consistency.
Work hours will include minimum 30 hours per week based on working 5 days out of 7. During the season, our normal working week is Sunday to Thursday. The season generally runs from May to October and would expect you to be committed for your time with us.
